What we found
The two houses are of similar age and both had gone more than ten years without paint. On this one, some of the wood around the upper windows had rotted through.
How the work was done
- Pressure wash the exterior, as on the neighbouring house.
- Replace every piece of rotten wood, including the window surrounds.
- Paint all of the woodwork once the repairs were in place.
How it turned out
The finish came out well and the owner was satisfied.
