What we found

The exterior woodwork had not been repainted in more than ten years. Paint was lifting in many places and the boards had opened up with cracks.

How the work was done

  1. Pressure wash the exterior and let the surface come clean.
  2. Scrape back every area where the old coating had lifted.
  3. Caulk the cracks that had opened in the woodwork.
  4. Two coats of a high-grade exterior wood finish over the prepared surface.

How it turned out

The owner was pleased with the result, and went on to introduce Mayda to a neighbour and to friends.
