Drywall Repair Before Painting
Mayda Painting provides drywall and wall repair services. Nail holes, damaged sections, joints and previous patches need an assessment based on location and condition. It is also useful to decide whether repainting will cover the repair area or the whole wall.
Planning the scope
Send close-ups and a wider view, noting recurring damage or known water issues. Texture, lighting and the repainting scope influence how the finished area looks. An active underlying issue should be addressed before surface restoration.
How we plan the work
- Assess the surface. Discuss the material, existing condition, access and the areas involved.
- Agree the preparation and treatment. Put protection, cleaning or repairs, the selected finish and responsibilities into the scope.
- Carry out and review the agreed work. Confirm suitable conditions, check the scope together and discuss the actual product’s drying and return-to-use requirements.
Will a small touch-up be completely invisible?
Existing paint, colour, sheen and lighting affect the match. Discuss spot painting versus repainting the wall rather than assuming every repair can blend invisibly.
