Epoxy Flooring
Mayda Painting provides epoxy flooring services. A garage or other proposed coating area needs an assessment of the substrate, existing finish and intended use before appearance and coating-system decisions are made. Photos support that discussion but do not replace a substrate assessment.
Planning the scope
Describe the area, cracks, stains, existing coatings, known moisture concerns and vehicle or equipment use. Confirm preparation, repairs, the selected system and return-to-use instructions as part of the scope and handover.
How we plan the work
- Assess the surface. Discuss the material, existing condition, access and the areas involved.
- Agree the preparation and treatment. Put protection, cleaning or repairs, the selected finish and responsibilities into the scope.
- Carry out and review the agreed work. Confirm suitable conditions, check the scope together and discuss the actual product’s drying and return-to-use requirements.
When can vehicles return?
Follow the requirements for the selected product and project conditions. Explain your deadline early and confirm whether foot traffic, moving items and vehicle access have different return times.
How Mayda does this
A garage floor takes punishment nothing else in the house does: hot tyres standing on it, a lot of friction when a car turns, and oil dripping onto it.
Pressure wash the whole floor.
Then degrease it properly. Oil that has soaked into concrete does not come out with water; it takes a dedicated cleaner. This step decides whether the coating bonds.
Epoxy goes down and the flakes go on. Decorative colour flakes are broadcast into the surface while it is being laid.
It holds up. Tyre heat, friction and dripped oil all come off it, and the floor keeps a clean, finished look for a long time.
