Industrial Painting

Mayda Painting provides industrial painting services. The scope for a plant, warehouse or other industrial facility depends on the surfaces, existing coatings, operating conditions and project requirements. A single floor-area figure does not describe every part of the work.

Planning the scope

Identify the areas to be coated, current condition, operating schedule and specifications supplied by the owner or project team. Discuss equipment protection, access, phased handover and any required technical documents. Methods and documentation are confirmed for the individual project.

Can an industrial project be priced like a house repaint?

The surfaces and site conditions may be different. Share the proposed scope and existing specifications so Mayda can determine the assessment and information needed for an estimate.

How Mayda does this

An example from Mayda’s own work: a food plant in Delta, where the tall silos that hold flour had been in service long enough to rust on the outside.

Grind the rust back to bare metal. Powered sanders with abrasive discs, or wire wheels where the rust has taken hold.

Oil-based rust-inhibiting primer over the cleaned steel, so the corrosion does not start again.

Top coat by roller. On a vessel of that shape and in that position, spraying is not an option — it goes on by hand.

The point of a job like this is maintenance: catching the corrosion while it is still a coating problem rather than a tank replacement.
